I started the Intention Sessions during the lockdown last Spring. Had to keep myself busy and inspired. I also wanted to hear from lots of different people about their most intentional living. It illustrates so beautifully that there is more than one way to do this. You just need passion and purpose.

The other benefit is I learn so much. After each episode recording, I find myself thinking “I really needed to hear that” 💗

Next up: Simplicity ✨✨✨

For February in the May you Know Joy membership, we are doing a 28-day reset and I personally can’t wait 😃

We’re going to get back to the basics of a daily intention setting practice and the guiding principles are: simple, consistent and inspired. This is for beginners and everyone else who needs a refresh and reset.

We’re doing it for so many reasons but here are the basic ones:
- it’s been a long year. We’re tired. We need to reboot our simple daily inspired actions. We might as well have fun while we’re at it
- some of us have been looking at the year ahead and larger intentions. Sometimes it can be hard to know where to start. We start here 😉
- even if we have a strong daily practice, we need to reset (at least I do!). Remembering why we started. Making it simple. Giving the whole thing a refresh.

That’s what we’re up to. If this sounds good to you, I invite you to join us. Membership details are in my bio and you can always DM your questions.

It’s @bell_letstalk Day and my morning selfie in its honour feels a lot different than mornings once felt for me.

Today I’m remembering standing on the doorstep of the rehab centre. My life was in shambles. I felt empty (except for all that shame!) and extremely low. I was baffled by how far things had spiralled out of control and I wondered what were all the ‘normal’ people were doing? I was terrified and desperate for help. Admitting you have a problem and getting help is a really tough thing to do - it’s also a powerful turning point.

In that facility, I felt stripped down to my core. But, I could finally be honest with myself, I could get help and I knew I wasn’t alone. That felt strangely freeing to me.

I thought about all of the energy I’d put into my own self destruction and wondered what I could do if I used that energy for good? I slowly decided to like myself, take care of her and choose to find joy.

I could not have imagined my life looking the way it does today. I’m deeply grateful for 3,273 sober days and counting! I understand wanting to numb this crazy world out but, I can tell you it’s not the answer. My sobriety is one of my greatest gifts and I’ve found better ways to cope and really live. Wherever you find yourself as you’re reading this, I want you to know that the only day that matters is TODAY. You are not alone. There is help. And - life can be a lot different.

Let’s share. Let’s listen. Let’s create change. Let’s get help. Let’s offer help.
